GoDaddy,
one step at a time.

Use this guide together with your personal SiteRestyle connection card. Your records are prepared for your own domain, not copied from another site.

Need your exact DNS values? After payment, open your personal domain card on the same device. Copy its TXT record; do not guess a website IP or CNAME. The website routing records are supplied separately after the hosting connection is prepared.

Do this in GoDaddy

  1. Open Domain Portfolio, select your domain and choose DNS.
  2. Choose Add New Record, then select TXT. Copy Host / Name and Value from your personal card into the matching fields.
  3. Save. Return to your card and press Check TXT verification after the record has had time to appear.
  4. Later, when the exact web connection values are ready, edit only the A or CNAME records specified for your domain. Leave business email records alone.

Before you call it connected

We check the root domain and www, HTTPS, redirects, images, important existing URLs and inquiry delivery. DNS propagation can take time. We also verify email dependencies before you cancel old hosting.

Keep these records safe

Preserve MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, mail-related hostnames and unrelated subdomains. Don’t remove all records or disable DNSSEC as a shortcut.
